National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations

Chilton has a supportive PTFA, which is part of the National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations.

The PTFA aims to raise extra funds for the school and provide an additional means by which parent/teacher co-operation can be fostered.

PTFA Committee:

The PTFA Committee is made up of the following people: Chloe Ballantine, Catherine Hurst, Mrs Ellinor, Wynette Marsh, Michelle Rayleigh-Strutt, Michele Gregson, Donna Arthurs, Lisa Ellis, Trevor Smith & Amanda Smith.

All parents, staff and friends of the school are members of the PTFA.


bullet How Can You Get Involved?

The PTFA are always looking for new committee members and volunteers to help out at events.

If you would like to get involved please come along to the next committee meeting - you'll be made very welcome. Offers of help or new ideas for events are also appreciated. Last but not least, please come along to the events and join in the fun!

bullet Event News

  • We made a very respectable £667.53p at the Valentines disco. A big thank you to all our helpers & supporters. Please note that we were very close to our limit in ticket sales. The hall only has capacity of 220. In future to guarantee your childs place please pre book your ticket.
  • The PTFA Quiz raised a respectable £157.93 of which £15 was donated to Comic Relief. Thank you to those who organized it & those who attended.
  • We hope you all had an enjoyable Easter. The children all enjoyed their end of term Easter eggs which were donated by the PTFA. Your continued support is appreciated.
  • CD BELL PLANT ORDER - Plant collection went smoothly and everyone seemed really happy with their plants. For an example of the hanging baskets please see outside the main school office. This year we opened it up to local residents and this increased our profit from £173.30p to £276.54p. If you are able to provide feedback via the PTFA page contact form would be greatly appreciated.
  • Pumpkin/Gourd Competition - We have 21 entries in total. Remember FRIDAY 24TH OCTOBER your pumpkin/gourd will need to be brought into school to be weighed & judged. — Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. May the growing commence!
  • Friday's disco made £476.11p. Nice to see Mrs Smith and Mrs Veale strutting their stuff on the dance floor! Nice moves! Thank you to all those who helped.
  • WANTED - Are you able to FACE PAINT? We only have 1 volunteer and 100's of children to paint. If you able to help please leave your details with the office.

bullet Dates For Your Diary

Please note that dates are subject to change.

  • The last PTFA meeting this term will be on MONDAY 6TH JULY. We will be meeting at the Belle Vue Pub (Pegwell Road) @ 7pm.
  • Friday 17th July - Non Uniform Day - Donations of 50p per child.
  • The Annual General Meeting of the PTFA will be held in the school hall on Wednesday 16th September at 7pm. There will be 2 positions free - the Chair and the Treasurer. Without these 2 positions the PTFA legally cannot continue - so no disco's, no firework night etc. If you would be interested (help will be given if required) please leave your contact details with the office.
  • Friday 23rd October - Halloween Disco.
  • Friday 24th October -Pumpkin/Gourd Competition — your pumpkin/gourd will need to be brought into school to be weighed & judged. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place
  • Friday 6th November - Firework Night.
  • Friday 4th December - Christmas Fair.
    If any parent (NO OUTSIDE CONTRACTORS PLEASE) is interested in having a stall at our Firework Night or Christmas Fair (already have a card and jewellery stall) - £10 a stall plus a % of the takings. Places are limited so it would be on a first come, first served basis. If you would be interested, please either contact us via the PTFA contact form below or leave your details with the school office.
